Rolf Sturm
has played guitar with a wide variety of musicians both inside and outside
the jazz community. He has played with country singer Eddy Arnold, jazz
trombonist Jimmy Knepper, the Argentinean tango group New York-Buenos
Aires Connection, and the Grateful Dead big band, Illuminati.
He leads
his own funk/pop/rock band, Feed The Meter, and was the featured
guitarist in "Night Music for John Lennon" under the baton
of its composer, Lukas Foss.
Rolf has
appeared on soundtracks for both film and television, and has recorded
numerous CDs as a sideman. Rolf graduated from Ithaca College with a
BFA in Jazz Guitar. He has studied with John Abercrombie, Jim Hall,
Bill Frisell, and Joe Pass.
